We went to the wedding of a long-time friend of ours, Andreas
Campos, to his gorgeous fiancé, Sheila. We were one of the
early-birds to arrive - this is a picture of our parking spot. |
 |
The couple had rented a huge home that was on the sand and had an
awesome view. This is Patrick slaving away in the preparations
while I casually sip my drink and take pictures from the deck. |
 |
This is Andreas (Andrew) on the left and "Preacher Bob" on the
right. Andrew & Sheila have a surfer crash-pad two doors from PCH
in Huntington Beach and Bob is a friend who lives in one of the other
units. Bob isn't a minister or anything, he works in construction
and got licensed the day before to do civil weddings. I think Bob
was as nervous as the bride & groom, but he did an awesome job! |
 |
The idea was to have the stereotypical beach motif, which they
pulled off on-the-money! How many of us can say that we were
comfortable at our wedding, standing there with sand between our toes
and watching the perfect California sunset while saying our vows? |
 |
"Come on, get it over with - I want to PARTY!!" Great shot of
the couple. |
 |
So they're on a budget. The rings were in a Cracker Jack box
that was passed down the line of guys to the left. Andrew told me
of how he asked Sheila to marry him. He put the rings in a little
treasure chest and rigged a note that would pop-up to pop-the-question.
He took her scuba diving and planted it where she was sure to find it.
You know Andrew, it's guys like you who make the rest of us look bad! |
 |
Das kiss. They are now a family. |
 |
Hey! Wait a minute! The first time he turns his back and
she's hugging the preacher! Durn... I want to be the preacher next
time... ;-) |
 |
OK, Finally!! Time to PARTY!!!
An awesome time was had by all. They really threw a great
shindig. The next day they were off to Hawaii for a week or two.
Congratulations, Andrew & Sheila. |
