"You have bled with Wallace.... Now bleed with me."

Bannockburn (N:56°05.550 / W:03°56.095) is where Robert the Bruce defeated the English and established Scottish sovereignty.  The flag in the monument in this picture is "near" the location that he planted the Scottish flag.

In the Battle of Falkirk, Robert the Bruce led one of the English units against the Scots.  Robert's unit was the one that pursued William Wallace, who agreed to a private discussion.  It was here that Wallace inspired Robert and shed light on the harm he had done to his own people.  This was a turning point for Robert, who obviously changed his ways and fought the good fight.
Robert the Bruce.  King of Scots 1306-1329.
As we were standing at the monument, Shannon saw "cows!" about 500 yards off and took off across the park to go visit.  She couldn't understand why she couldn't go play with the cows.
