On our drive from Penrith to to Sterling we passed this town which
was just begging to be photographed. |
We thought the convergence of the rivers in this setting was
absolutely gorgeous. |

Langholm - 'The Muckle Toon', formerly known as Arkinholm became a
burgh of barony in 1610. It's an industrial mill town located
where the River Esk joins the Wauchope and Ewes Waters. The town
is sheltered by several hills which provide excellent walking. |
This is a beautiful park to have in you community. |
This door and wall talked to me. I wonder how old this is? |
Is this slide designed to keep people who are too old off of it?
Our daughter is a really skinny three-year-old and her butt is about as
wide as this slide will take. |
I cant get over the British-ness of this picture. From the
green, to the water, to the fence, to the man walking with his border
collie. |
Beautiful old bridge into Old Langholm. |
Beautiful country scene on the River Esk. |
Wow... who would have thought.... Patrick is very excited about the
trip. We even saw him a couple times without a Game Boy. |
Beautiful British weather about half way in between Penrith & Edinburgh. |
